About Rooted Yoga:

who we are as a studio and who we are as a team

WHO WE ARE AS A STUDIO:

Rooted Yoga opened in 2021 as an avenue to serve our local area and build community. We believe that yoga is for every body, age and ability. If you have a body, you can “do” yoga! Yoga is a tool for connecting to our innermost self using modalities found in our practice (both on and off the mat) as it applies to our everyday lives, allowing us to create an experience to unfold in our hearts and touches those around us. Everyone who comes to class arrives with something unique in their physical, mental or emotional handbag and it is our time together that allows us to be loved, seen and connected to a bigger circle of energy that we can learn from and feel inspired from.

“What we need we already have. What we are searching for is already within us.”

CLASSES:

Rooted Yoga offers a variety of classes ranging from meditative to strength building and everything in between! We also have weekly events, pop ups, monthly yoga teacher training and continuing ed opportunities. As our studio grows, so do our offerings and this is a direct result of the community we are building here through our practice, so thank you!

Additionally Offering: We proudly offer group, private and corporate/event classes for all ages and abilities, on and off site. Please reach out if you are interested in collaborating!

FINANCIAL SUPPORT:

And because we believe finances should not prevent anyone from coming to yoga, we partner with local organizations that help students come to classes through generous support via funding avenues of wellbeing. If this is something you would like to see if you qualify for, please let us know. If you are interested in donating so that others may come to class for a reduced rate, please visit our Make an Impact page.

HOLISTIC HEALTH (CONTINUED):

For more ways to honor to your holistic health, check out our sister studio, Breath & Bone Reiki & Massage, located right here in the Rooted Yoga studio, offering holistic healing modalities such as reiki, Hawaiian lomilomi massage and energetic bodywork with Stina.

  • CALLIE FLANDERS

    CYT-200 YOGA INSTRUCTOR

Callie’s passion for yoga began when she realized taking care of her physical, mental, and spiritual health are interconnected and integral pieces of survival. Callie first started practicing yoga in 2014, but did not develop a consistent practice until 2017. At the beginning of the New Year in 2019, Callie’s intuition called her to sign up for a 200-hour yoga teacher training with Rachel Brathen at Island Yoga in Aruba. Callie was selected after an extensive application process and completed the training in November of 2019, with 51 other individuals from all over the world. Callie holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and is currently completing her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Her dharma, or life's mission, is helping others along their journey to healing, and she believes that yoga is one of the many tools we can use to go deeper and discover what our souls are calling for.

She works as a college career counselor, and in her spare time can be found cheering on her son and husband on the soccer field.

Angel's philosophy is that yoga is for everyone! If a pose doesn't work for you, let's find an alternative. Her classes always offer options and freedom to explore what works best for your body.
